WE DEVELOP TODAY

THE VECTOR OF THE FUTURE

Key factor in the energy transition

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is a non-polluting energy vector, which is why it is postulated as the solution to the current problems of energy storage and emissions of polluting gases into the atmosphere.

Ansasol S.L. has been committed to green hydrogen since February 2020, when the first analysis, evaluation and development of a green hydrogen generating plant using renewable energies was carried out.

The company currently has more than 30 projects in different stages of development under the Hydron label, the Ansasol brand created especially for its new green hydrogen business line.

Spain’s Hydrogen Roadmap is a national commitment to renewable hydrogen. It is a plan to promote the deployment of this sustainable energy vector, which will be key to achieving climate neutrality with a 100% renewable electricity system by 2050 at the latest.

TARGETS FOR 2030

  • At least 4 GW of electrolysers installed.
  • Minimum contribution of renewable hydrogen (25%).
  • 150/200 buses – 5,000/7,500 light and heavy vehicles – 100/150 hydrogen stations – Trains on 2 commercial lines – Handling machinery in ports and airports
  • 4.6 million tonnes of CO2 eq not emitted into the atmosphere
  • Estimated investment of 8.9 billion euros

TARGETS FOR 2050

Acceleration of the economy based on the production and application of renewable hydrogen and a decarbonized society by 2050, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and competitively priced energy supply.

As part of the European Green Deal, it is based on:

  • The National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030 (PNIEC).
  • The Climate Change and Energy Transition Law.
  • The Long-Term Strategy for a Modern, Competitive, and Climate-Neutral Spanish Economy by 2050.
4.600.000 tons

of CO2 eq NOT emitted into the atmosphere

SDGs

In 2015, all United Nations Member States adopted 17 Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets out a plan to achieve the Goals within 15 years.

Solar parks

Ansasol develops photovoltaic parks throughout the entire national territory. Thanks to the creation of electrolysis plants, green hydrogen will be produced and transported through a distribution network or by land transportation to the places of use or nearby hydrogen stations.

Ansasol also promotes the on-site production of hydrogen by installing solar modules on the roofs of warehouses or facilities where hydrogen will be used as fuel.

Hydrogen Production

Hydrogen is the most abundant chemical element in the universe, but it is always found in combination with other elements, so it can be obtained from a wide variety of raw materials. Using water as a raw material and electricity as an energy source, the water molecule can be decomposed into oxygen and hydrogen through the process of electrolysis.

If the electricity is generated from renewable sources, the hydrogen produced is called ‘green hydrogen,’ as no polluting gas emissions are released into the atmosphere during the production process.

In the development of projects proposed by Ansasol, photovoltaic energy will be used to produce green hydrogen, a truly clean energy carrier.

This hydrogen is stored after a compression process or injected into the gas network.

Hydrogen acts as a storable ‘energy carrier’ that can be converted back into electricity, creating a balancing service between electricity generators and consumers.

Hidrogeneras

Ansasol, as a company of the future, also invests in monitoring the production and consumption of hydrogen at hydrogen stations, so that users can schedule refueling based on the previous parameters, as well as their own organization, needs, and consumption

Hydrogen route

The Renewable Hydrogen Roadmap in Spain outlines the development of a network of 100 to 150 hydrogen refueling stations (hydrogen stations) for public access by 2030.

To help achieve these objectives, Ansasol, as part of its strategic plan, aims to deploy 20 hydrogen stations in strategic areas and highways across Spain, to supply hydrogen to new fleets of trucks and buses, as well as to light vehicles and heavy-duty machinery. These stations will be capable of supplying hydrogen at both 350 and 700 bars.

Ansasol, as a specialist in the development of photovoltaic projects and a benchmark for quality, works with the best national and international suppliers in the sector, both for solar panels, inverters, etc., as well as for fuel cells, electrolyzers, or hydrogen stations.
